Life is a wild scramble most days. Meetings, family obligations, jobs, friends all add up to business beyond measure. It is very easy to lose your heart for God when we are meeting obligations of life.
When we refuse to withdraw and seek quiet time with our Lord the evidence of such actions become readily apparent, fatigue, frustration, bad decisions and faulty wisdom. Priorities get out of alignment.
It is time for inner conversations face to face with God. Private and personal in a setting that offers spiritual support.
Withdraw from the wild scramble if only for awhile. Use this time to push the spiritual reset button. This time is a wonderful opportunity for quiet reflection and a time to meet with God face to face just like Moses did in the Tent of Meeting.
The Tent of Meeting
Exodus 33 says that “The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.” I am positive that this same relationship is open to us, talking with God face to face is mighty motivation for withdrawing from the world and seeking God’s face.
God wants to speak with us just as He did with Moses. Go to your Tent of Meeting and speak with God face to face. There is no replacement.
I love what Oswald Chambers said. The battle is won in the secret places of the will before God, never first in the external world. Nothing has the power over the person who has fought out the battle before God……….and won there.
Find your Tent of Meeting and go have a face to face conversation.
